Dear Colleagues,

Please see hereunder a draft relating to the Castello Commemorative Fund. This document will be used as the base paper for discussion relating to the Fund.

Alumni are asked to examine the paper and to come up with their proposals so that during our Business Meeting we can agree on a Final Paper as well as the means by which each objective adopted can be realized.

We look forward to a fruitful exchange.

DRAFT

1. PURPOSES:
The Fund shall be NOT FOR PROFIT Body and its Resources shall be used for Educational purposes and for purposes associated with Education.

2. OBJECTIVES OF THE FUND.
(a) To acquire resources for the development of education generally in Guyana and specifically and primarily for the improvement and development of Education and education facilities in Tutorial High School.
(b) To provide financial assistance to worthy and needy students within Tutorial High School and for Students who have been awarded places at Tutorial High School.
(c) To provide resources for the enhancement of Scholarship and for encouraging academic achievement at Tutorial High School.
(d) To design suitable arrangements for the observance of an Austin and Joseph Castello Memorial Day at Tutorial High School
(e) To work with the School Authority to develop and improve the name of the School within the Education Sector of the Guyana.

3. MANAGEMENT OF FUND
(a) The Fund shall be managed by a Board of Trustees.
(b) The Trustees shall manage the Trust according to the guidelines provided by the Alumni Association.
(c) The Board of Trustees shall comprise
   (i) A Representative of the Tutorial Alumni Chapters Overseas.
   (ii) A Representative of the PTA.
   (iii) The Head Master or his Representative.
   (iv) The President of the Guyana Chapter shall be Chairman of the Board.
(d) The Trustees are responsible for raising funds and acquiring all Resources and for disbursing finds in accordance with the guidelines.

4. RESOURCES OF THE FUND
The Fund shall obtain its Resources from the following
  (i) Contributions from the Alumni Chapters.
  (ii) Funds raised through Events designated for that purpose.
  (iii) Gifts received from past Students of the School.
  (iv) Resources received from Government.
   (v) Funds and Gifts received from other Sources.
